It’s fun to meet people who are out doing the same thing that I’m doing, which is hiking our trails. I’ve met a lot of people from all walks of life and different parts of the world while I’ve been hiking. And it doesn’t matter where I am when I meet these people; the Cabinet Mountains, the Purcell Mountains or the Selkirk Mountains, I find that these people are usually incredibly friendly and they are very driven to enjoy the beautiful world around us, which is in many cases, right in our backyard.
Some people are a little hesitant and might think I’m a little strange to ask if I can snap a picture of them for my website, and I don’t blame them one bit. But then there are the brave ones, who for some reason or another, are willing to let some bald-headed hiking stranger snap a picture of them. I really appreciate them for letting me take their picture for my website. Because, after we part ways and go on about our hiking, I really do feel like I just found another friend on the trail.
